Malcolm has a wealth of experience in advising businesses and a wide network of professional contacts, particularly in the refinancing, asset finance and invoice finance markets.
Malcolm Jones has assisted businesses of all sizes as an external consultant to help them identify and arrange financial solutions, especially in challenging situations.
His role at ESA Risk covers financial risk management and business consultancy including business finance and debt recovery strategies, enabling businesses to make improvements to their cashflow.
Malcolm’s understanding of the lending market (refinancing, asset finance, invoice finance, etc.) is rooted in experience gained through nearly 30 years at Bank of Scotland and Bibby Financial Services.
In that time, he helped numerous businesses to maximise their potential, reduce costs, and improve cashflow and profitability.
More recently his knowledge of business financing, restructuring and recovery was further developed while holding a regional position at Begbies Traynor prior to joining ESA Risk in 2022.
Malcolm is based in the North West and his focus has, naturally, often been on the north of England as well as Wales, although his work has extended across the UK and into Europe.
With a network established over many years of supporting the commercial sector, Malcolm remains a member of the Liverpool and Chester Chambers of Commerce as well as a number of business networking groups.
